CHALLENGE

DiGiovine, Hnilo, Jordan + Johnson, Ltd. (DHJJ) is a full service accounting and business advisory firm serving businesses and individuals in Chicago and throughout the Midwest. When the firm decided it was time to update their branding and marketing, they knew they needed more than just a basic facelift. “Our firm has grown significantly in recent years,” says Stephanie Gandsey, marketing director at DHJJ. “With this growth, we expanded services and established new practice group areas so that we could better leverage the variety of skill sets within our firm. Since our structure was evolving, we sought a rebrand and refresh that would reflect this upward momentum, not just for our clients, but for our staff as well.” Stephanie realized it would be best to have a third party to come in and assist with the needed changes. “When you’re on the inside, you’re just too close and too connected with everything going on and can’t always make objective decisions because you’ve been personally invested in the firm for so long.”

SOLUTION

The bbr marketing team worked closely with Stephanie to learn about the firm and what they wished to accomplish with their new marketing initiatives. “Content marketing was a major factor,” she explains. “We wanted to make sure that the content on the website sounded like us. It’s not uncommon to work with marketing professionals who just throw content on a website without considering the voice of the firm. Having viewed other sites they’d done, I felt confident they would capture our voice, and from our very first meeting I knew we’d made a good choice.” Stephanie appreciated the smooth process and communication she found as well. “It was easy to work with bbr marketing. Everything was organized, they worked well with the staff gathering the information needed to write the website copy and kept me involved every step of the way. Because of this, I was able to provide regular updates to the partner group and no one was ever in the dark.”
