Bonnie Buol Ruszczyk makes the cut as one of the accounting profession’s most powerful women, according to an annual list designated by CPA Practice Advisor Magazine.
October 2016 – Atlanta – The owner and president of Atlanta-based bbr marketing has been included in CPA Practice Advisor’s 2016 roster of the Most Powerful Women in Accounting. This year’s honor marks the second time the entrepreneur and widely respected professional services marketing expert Bonnie Buol Ruszczyk has been included on the prestigious list, which represents a limited compilation of the most influential leaders in the accounting space.
Comprised of CPAs, consultants, legislators and technology developers, among other specialists, the list is eagerly anticipated each year by those who work within or serve the accounting profession. Clients, colleagues and the public nominate candidates for the award before the publication’s editorial staff and advisory board select the final recipients. Award winners are chosen based on an analysis of their individual contributions, as viewed within the broad context of the rapidly evolving profession.
Editor-in-Chief of CPA Practice Advisor Gail Perry says, “These leaders are setting new standards for professionalism within accounting, and are shaping the profession through their work as partners, mentors, innovators and thought leaders. I am honored to have the opportunity to work alongside them, and CPA Practice Advisor will continue to chronicle their exceptional progress.”
“I am profoundly honored to be recognized in this way,” says Bonnie. “It’s deeply rewarding to be included with these leaders for whom I have such great respect, and I am proud to be recognized along with them. Serving the accounting world is a constant challenge and an ongoing pleasure. I’m grateful for the opportunity to serve those who are working hard to help move the profession forward in so many productive ways.”
This year’s awards also recognized several “Larger Than Life” women who, while not directly involved with the profession, have created a significant impact in areas that affect its practice. Recipients include Mary Jo White, the current Chair of the Securities and Exchange Commission; Cathy Engelbert, CEO of Deloitte; Lynne Doughtie, US Chaiman and CEO of KPMG; and Elizabeth Warren, the senior US Senator from Massachusetts who is a noted consumer protection advocate with a long history of involvement in financial oversight through government agencies.
CPA Practice Advisor announced the 2016 honorees and presented their awards in San Jose, California at the QBConnect Conference that took place October 24-26. To view the full list of award winners, visit https://www.cpapracticeadvisor.com/article/12265815/2016-most-powerful-women-in-accounting.
