As many of you know, every day is Take Your Dog to Work Day at bbr marketing. We’re strong proponents of the value of canine companionship in the office.
In fact, as a company with a virtual office, the office dogs comprise an important component of the workday support system. We can’t imagine tackling a particularly challenging marketing task without a full dose of devoted slobber to get us started. So in honor of the day, we’d like to share 13 Good Reasons to Bring Your Dog to Work:
1. Alternating hostilities and snuggling between office cat and office dog accurately simulate traditional inter-departmental dynamic.
2. Need to take dog outside periodically forces much-needed oxygen intake throughout the day.
3. Occasional noxious emissions remind us how lucky we are not to be trapped in a cubicle environment.
4. We never arrive at the lunchroom only to find the fridge full of nasty old kibble left by thoughtless co-workers.
5. Complete confidence that office-mate is not secretly angling for our job.
6. Whining at the manager never results in getting a plum assignment that should have been ours.
7. Never complains when we arrive early and leave late (or arrive late and leave early).
8. Rhythmic canine snores facilitate the creative process.
9. Office is 100% secure from threat of incursion by roaming hordes of squirrels.
10. When I try out new copy on him, he swears up and down it’s pure genius!
11. Constant lying on feet eliminates need to wear shoes to work.
12. Never rifles through desk drawers – no thumbs!
13. Although he may chew on the stapler, he always gives it back without a fight.
If any of you are lucky enough to have an office dog, you know what we’re talking about. Please share with us (and those unfortunates who don’t have the advantages of this kind of office) your favorite aspects of bringing your dog to work!
